Pi Network has launched a significant system update designed to enhance the utility and stability of its native cryptocurrency, Pi Coin. This development addresses recent price concerns by implementing technical improvements to the network's infrastructure.

The PI Node version 0.5.4 includes critical fixes for automatic updates, block container creation, and reward synchronization. A new port-tracking feature ensures more precise reward calculations while reinforcing security measures for token holders.

User experience improvements include Pi Desktop enhancements, such as support for approved external links within the app. The protocol upgrade is currently in testing on Pi's testnet, with mainnet rollout planned for Q4 2025.
